Typically, we describe our lives as a story and by the end of our lives the different stages of our lives become like chapters in a book. Our lives are stories within a bigger story and God wants us to share both. We may not feel like our lives are a story worth telling but God crafted it uniquely, no one story is the same and this feeling that our story is not worth telling is a lie the devil tells but God wants us to speak up.
The message God has given us to share has four parts. The first part is our personal testimony, the second our life lessons, the third our passions and lastly the good news of salvation.
KEY VERSE
“Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, but do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15-16 TEV
TESTIMONY
Our testimony Is the story of how God has made a difference in our lives. It is our personal experience of God. Everyone has a different testimony, one that is completely unique which makes it important.
It’s important because it plays a huge role in the conversion of unbelievers. Unbelievers are more likely to listen to a testimony than to scripture, so testimony builds the bridge to God. Testimonies are hard to dispute because they are personal experiences which makes them more reliable for even the most stone hearted of atheists and they are easier to relate to. They also capture the attention quicker than scripture making them easier to remember.
So how can we be ready to testify at any moment as the bible tells us to? We must memorise the main points. We reflect on what our life was like before Jesus and the moment we realised we need him. We remember how we committed our lives to Jesus and the difference in our lives since that moment.
Different situations can call for different testimonies so it is good to reflect on absolutely everything that God has brought us through and how He did it so we are prepared to use it at any time.

LIFE LESSONS
God has taught us truth through our experiences. He teaches us about our problems, relationships, Himself and more. The lessons we learn are valuable and God wants us to use them for good. He wants us to learn from our own experiences, but He also wants us to help others.
God also wants us to be wise and learn from others, it is wiser to learn from others than to make the mistake ourselves.
We should make it a habit to record our life lessons so we remember them and so we can share them with others. In doing so we follow in the footsteps of Solomon, and we can be thankful he did because there is much to learn from his writings in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.
PASSIONS
When God created us, He gave us all different passions and interests, He did so with intention. These passions are things He cares about and areas He wants us to make a difference in. He wants us to use our passions for His glory and to be a witness for Him. Our passions exist to fulfil His purposes.
GOOD NEWS
The good news is when we trust God’s grace saved us through Jesus’ death and resurrection and because of this are sins are forgiven, and we have been promised a home in Heaven and a purpose for our life on earth.
The good news of salvation is what everyone needs to hear whether they accept it or not. It’s the most important message God wants us to share. Those who love God willingly share because they recognise it is a wonderful gift and want everyone to receive it. Believers share out of love because of this and out of fear for the souls of unbelievers because they know what will happen to them in the end if they are not saved and that is a fate no one wants.
The gift of salvation can only be received through Jesus while this earth exists and with this earth only having an allotted amount of time it is the duty of the faithful to spread the good news far and wide in the hope as many people as possible will be saved. We must make the most of every opportunity for the good of the people of this world and for the glory of God because one day it will be too late, and those lost souls will regret it.
God gave us this message to share because He loves His creation and doesn’t want them to be separated from Him. So, whether it is through our testimony and the lessons we have learned, through our passions or sharing the good news of salvation it is our duty to share the truth because we are responsible for the souls of unbelievers around us and with the rise of social media it has truly never been easier.
